A polished natural Auralite 23 gemstone specimen. Auralite 23 crystals are about 1.2 to 2 billion years old and only found in Ontario, Canada. It has been said that meteor impacts during this time brought rare metallic ores to the surface of the earth, where they eventually dissolved and were incorporated into the structure of the growing Amethyst Crystal, now called Auralite. If they hadn’t, chances are that the crystals would have remained predominantly amethyst. The crystal itself carries 35 elements, and in each crystal, there is at least 17 of these combined. The metaphysical properties of natural crystal combinations like Melody Stone (also known as Super Seven,) are taken to another level.
Auralite 23 is also known as Auralite Amethyst or Kindred Spirit Crystal. Although it was originally believed that there were 23 minerals contained within this mineral testing by the GIA confirmed that there are 35 elements composing 17 different minerals in auralite. Another explanation of the name is that auralite contains 23 different chevrons. Auralite has layers of chevrons which are composed primarily of amethyst, citrine and green quartz. These chevron designs are created by the starting and stopping of its growth and exposure to heat and pressure throughout its formative years. It is believed that 23 chevrons formed from each growth period.
The average crystal contains at least seventeen of the following: Cacoxenite, Lepidocrosite , Ajoite, Hematite, Magnetite, Pyrite, Goethite, Pyrolusite, Gold, Silver, Platinum, Nickel, Copper, Iron, Limonite, Sphalerite, Covelite, Chalcopyrite, Gialite, Epidote, Bornite, Titanite, and Rutile.
The metaphysical properties of this natural crystal combination is like the Super 7, are taken to another level. Auralite 23 helps to ease nerves and anxiety and lessen panic attacks and the effects that follow. It is also a stone that can be called upon for comfort and calming, during times of shock and distress. Auralite 23 is useful for meditation, astral travel, and past life regression.
Auralite specimens range from 5/8 to 1 1/8 inch, typical sizes photographed in my hand. Price is for one stone.
