Treasures from Tucson!

Gorgeous labradorite gemstone cut base specimen.  According to an Eskimo legend, the Northern Lights were once imprisoned in the rocks along the coast of Labrador. It is told that a wandering Eskimo warrior found them and was able to separate most of the lights with a mighty blow of his spear. Some of the lights were still trapped within the stone, and thus we have today the beautiful mineral known as labradorite.

Labradorite is considered a bridge between the conscious and subconscious mind, a gemstone of magic and protection, helping you find your own innate spiritual powers. Labradorite is a stone dropped from the aurora borealis to the earth, one that helps you find emotional balance and realize your full spiritual potential.  Labradorite is used for courage, clarity, and co-dependency. Some like to use this gemstone to heal mental confusion and indecision. It allows one to make decisions easily. Labradorite is about transformation on all levels, it allows for easy changes to take place, especially useful for those who fear change. It also allows for us to understand ourselves on a deeper level and know who we really are in a bold and distinct way. Physically, labradorite is used for balancing hormones, reducing blood pressure, balancing metabolism, and treating colds and vision problems.  It is also effective in healing bone problems and arthritis.  Labradorite builds and strengthens the immune system.

This piece is polished on the front, raw on the sides and back, and cut straight at the base so it stands on display.  There is tons of flash on both sides.

Labradorite stone is approximately 5 1/2 inches wide by 5 3/4 inches tall by 2 3/8 inches thick.  Total weight 3 pounds, 4.5 ounces.
