Fulgurites, named after the Latin fulgur, meaning "lightning," are natural tubes of fused soil, sand, rock, organic debris and other sediments that form when lightning discharges into ground and strikes high-silica sand, leaving behind glass tubes that trace the path of the bolt through the sand. They are sometimes referred to as "petrified lightning" or "lightning stones." If you saw the movie Sweet Home Alabama, they referenced how fulgurites are made, but the reality is that they don't produce the exotic, clear sculptures shown in the movie. Fulgurites were also featured in a wind chime in the movie The Reaping.
Blowing through a fulgurite tube is said to help you manifest your prayers and intentions. It is considered a shamanic tool useful for channeling energy and finding your higher purpose.
Fulgurites range from 1 to 1 1/4 inch long each. Price is for one fulgurite tube.
These fulgurites came from Morocco.
